Pastor Whipple Went Home

Pastor Gary T. Whipple, our beloved pastor and the founder of the Lamp & Light Church, died yesterday afternoon at 12:22. He had just celebrated his 80th birthday this summer surrounded by all of his family and friends, a true blessing. Andy, the co-editor of the Website and this blog, writes the following: "My heart is broken. May the Good Lord give us His annointing to finish the race as well as our Pastor Gary Whipple." Amen.

    I can just see them, walking on the shores of Heaven. Praising the Lord and watching the tide roll in. Friends that have go on...Oh how we miss you so. Somehow I know if you could, you'd let us know, that you're doing fine and it does'nt hurt anymore. Things could'nt be better and Heaven is worth waiting for...that you miss us to and until then, you'll be a part of the great cloud witnesses surrounding us.

    I miss you Daddy very much, but I know you want all of us to "Press On". Time is short and we need to be faithful as you were faithful. You were my hero because you not only was a good father, you showed me the truth of the Word, and the word of the Kingdom. Eber and I plan on Continuing your ministry though the ministry God has given us "which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." Col 1:27 I love you and I miss you so much.
